The Blurb:
Madeline Masterton is deathly afraid of bugs, especially spiders;
Theodore Bartholomew is petrified of dying;
Lulu Punchalower is scared of confined spaces;
Garrison Feldman is terrified of deep water....
Which is why this may be the scariest summer of their lives. The foursome must face there phobias head-on as students at the exclusive and elusive School of Fear. There is no homework and their are no exams. But if they don't conquer their fears by the end of the course, they'll find out just how frightening failing can be.
My Review:
I agree with the Publishers Weekly who'd commented "Spine-tingling and quite funny ... The ending proves as clever as the premise and shows that while everyone is afraid of something, tremendous achievements can be made by facing fear head on."
I think that pretty much sums it all up. I'm pretty sure the moral of the story is that whatever your fear is, you can overcome it. I got caught in the book straight away as soon as I read the first sentence which was "A bell is not a bell." I was sure the book would be interesting and I was right. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good book.
